Although one’s actual presence and senses, when sat at the foot of England’s longest waterfall (see Arctic Wildflowers) or when running from humping cows (read chapter Randy Bullocks) can never truly be replicated with a photograph alone, they are nevertheless great inspiration. And so, by the powers of creative alchemy—photographs and words combined—I hope that some chapters will spring to life and teleport you into nature for a while. There are also handy page references on the web galleries. There's quite a lot of photographs on this page... so please allow a moment for them to reveal themselves.
